creating inserts for a 3d-printed bin

Unsolved

Hi, I have an STL for a storage bin, along with an airbrush which I'd like to store in this bin.

My goal (as a learning experience) is to create an insert to put in this bin. This insert will have a little channel hollowed out along the top to accommodate the airbrush body, and a little vertical hole where the airbrush stem would slide into.

The problem is that the inside walls don't look perfectly vertical and the bottom and side edges are bevelled differently.

My question is: Is there a way for me to select all the verts of the inside of the container (the concave portion), flip the faces, and use the resulting mesh as the bottom of my insert? I guess there must be multiple ways, but what would be the simplest please?
