Family threatening to kick me out over legal issue that isn’t really my fault

I (34m) have recently gotten into a bit of trouble with the law. DUI. I‘m hoping that it’s resolved with me being cleared of any wrongdoing as I strongly believe that there was police incompetence if not outright harassment against me. That being said, my parents (68m & 53f) don’t see it that way.

The other day they sat me down and told me that I need to make “a genuine and meaningful change in my life or they will no longer continue to support me”. My stepdad inparticular chose to list out everything I’ve failed at in the 27 years he’s known me. At Some point he said that he took a chance being as my father (which he really didn’t) and that he was starting to regret the decision. Needless to say, how hard his life was in comparison to mine (bullshit) and how my brothers (biologically his btw) have far surpassed me came up quite often during this one-sided conversation.

The crux of my issue comes from the fact that they didn’t tell me *how* I should improve my life. I already work 50+ hours a week. I pay my share around the house. I pull my weight. I do what I need to. Aside from this one incident that, again, was not my fault, I don’t know what I could be doing better? I try so hard. I know he’s largely upset because of my low status, but I can’t fucking change that! Sorry to say, I’m stuck at this grocery store for a while.

They think I’m scum. Honestly, how do you fix that? How *can* you fix that? To them, me being an irredeemable failure holds as much truth as the statement “the sky is blue”. Am I perfect? No. Really the only reason I want to be on better terms is because I need a place to live. That being said, I do just want some understanding of my perspective. Idk. It’s just so fucking frustrating. Any adv would b appreciated. Thanks.
