Continue IT career or pivot?
Currently I have a Cert III in IT and have been working an entry level / level 1 support IT role for 2 years now. About 60k a year currently.
I've grown rather bored of being in the office and most importantly would rather not work 5 days every week.
IT is however a role that I am naturally well-inclined for (even if I don't particularly enjoy it much), so I am hesitant about pivoting in the current market, especially when I could likely do a few more basic qualifications (ITIL, CCNA, etc) and get a better paying job than I currently do.
As far as a pivot goes, I was mostly considering healthcare, such as nursing or other related roles since they have more physical activity and tend to have more flexible schedules. I am however aware that it is a high stress environment.
I would like to hear from others that have any thoughts. Is it worth trying to pivot? Or would I be better off trying to advance my IT career?
