What’s your story of signing a washed legend for a relatively smaller team?

In my 1860 Munich save back in FM21, I signed a washed Gareth Bale at the end of his Madrid contract on a one year deal, while playing in the 2 Bundesliga. Instantly became my highest paid player.

He looked absolutely bad in the first few games but once he hit his stride, it became the story of my season.

Scored like 15 goals but never had a game below 7.5 after the first few games.

Even won me the league with a last minute FK which got me promoted after 3 years of waiting. Retired the very next day.
