Is your internal linking strategy actually doing anything or just connecting pages nobody visits?
Audited a site last week that had great content across thirty pages and almost no equity flowing between any of them.
Internal linking done right isn't just about connecting pages — it's about telling Google which pages matter most and building topical clusters that signal genuine depth on a subject. Most sites treat it as an afterthought and wonder why their best content sits on page three while thinner competitor pages outrank it. Fixing internal links on an existing site is consistently one of the fastest wins available and almost nobody prioritizes it.
Anyone finding internal linking still moves the needle or has its impact faded with recent updates?
