Hoping to replace LUMIX DMC-GM5 with similar travel camera
I’m primarily a travel photographer, and my all-time favorite camera was the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GM5. Micro 4/3, interchangeable lenses, hotshoe, electronic viewfinder, rotating LCD screen, Bluetooth connection to my phone…and small enough to be discreet when photographing street scenes, busy markets, as well as a great portrait camera and solid landscapes. I especially enjoyed its compact size because I never felt conspicuous w hen traveling solo, never felt like I was drawing attention with a big, expensive camera. Unfortunately I drowned it in the ocean in Belize and Panasonic stopped making this model. I see it for sale, used, at B&H or eBay for nearly twice what I originally bought it for. What I’d love to hear from the group is: is there a newer, better option out there that I should consider, before buying an older, used DMC-GM5? I also have a LUMIX G1 which is great, but it feels too big to be my regular travel companion. Thank you! You can check out my travel pics on IG @suzy.sullivan
