Changing my sex on my birth certificate - application asks to write down the info as is on my original birth certificate, but my parent's name is wrong? Does it matter?

I'm stumped here, I'm sure the obvious answer is to write down my parent's name how it appears on my birth certificate, even if it's spelled wrong. But I'm an overthinker. Does it even matter if my parent's name is spelled wrong on the application if it's to amend my sex on my own birth certificate, or will there be confusion when I mail it in?
