How would you change Frost Legion in Terraria?

Many mods make Frost Legion interesting by making it drop weapons like tommy guns, add bosses, add equipment and accessory drops to make the event worthwhile.

But in vanilla terraria it does nothing other than making the Santa NPC move in and drop snow blocks. The thing is, I quite like the mafia gangster theme and its slightly distinct from Frost Moon event, might be interesting to see if it further develops.
