is little village safe at night?

yes i know im paranoid and i am a pussy but listen i want to to go my friends crib soon and he lives around like 26th and pulaski. i don’t live in the little village or south of lawndale, nowhere near this guy. dude told me to come through at like 5pm i’ll probably leave at like 9pm and drive 30 minutes home. he said it’s not terrible over there but i am really worried my car will get stolen and if that happens i will be heartbroken. also is street parking good? i don’t know how to parallel park. best bet is that i find a big ass space and fit into it.
