Can I do an apprenticeship in Germany?

Hi there, I'm Spanish and 28 yrs old and I would like to move to Berlin as my gf lives there. I just started to learn German (I'll lock in as soon as possible, I'm a fast learner) and I was wondering if it's possible to do an apprenticeship, course (I'd like to become an electrician) as an EU citizen and get a job? Basically my alternative is do it in Spain, get some experience and then move there but that would take 2-3 years instead, so I was just wondering if there's a faster way but just moving there and get some formation. I assume that I'll need at least a good German (I'd learn it regardless as a matter of integration and respect). I'd appreciate any suggestion / advice / experience :) Danke!
