I just downloaded [KCD2] off of gamepass I'm new to the franchise

I just got KCD2 with it coming to Xbox gamepass, I'm a huge fan of the setting and era but I'm struggling to have fun I just got past the wedding when you're left to your own devices I enjoy the blacksmithing but I'm trying to find ways to enjoy the combat without getting knocked out by a dude with no clothes or weapons
