I’m desperate for some help with my litter robot 4
Hey everyone! I really apologise if this post is all over the place or potentially even has a simple solution. But for reference my dad died unexpectedly, i live by myself with my 2 cats who i adore, and of course this is the time for my litter robot to start acting up.. classic right? 😅 I just want it to function normally again, so I can grieve without the smell of cat poo filling up my apartment haha
Ok enough trauma dumping, here’s what I’d love some help with:
I’ve had my litter robot for around 2 years now and I’ve never really had any problems, it’s the best purchase I’ve made. I deep clean it every month and wipe it down once a week. It’s unfortunately in my bedroom since that’s where I have room for it. This makes the issue so much worse 😬 It has been emptying randomly instead of a normal cycle, which sucks because it’s dumping fresh expensive litter into the waste, but even worse, it’s emptying out when there’s not enough room in the draw, which means the litter overflows into the base and it’s just a mess. It smells so bad, I’ve got it on manual mode right now, just in case but with 2 cats it really makes it seem stupid to have a litter robot that isn’t automatic like I may as well go back to a regular box but I really don’t want to do that, especially in my current state. Plus it has emptied in manual mode where I have pressed cycle so this mode doesn’t seem like a fix.
I was really hoping that this has an easy fix without me buying a whole new unit. I tried looking it up but since my LR4 is on a flat hardwood surface and I’m doing all the cleaning upkeep, I just can’t find an answer. Thank you so much in advance! (In case it matters for supplies or whatnot I’m Australian and I bought my litter robot from the offical Aussie site “Cat Evolution” and I’m not under warranty sadly)
