Curious question for Americans: how do you feel when people of different backgrounds work in your workplace?

EMPLOYMENT & JOBS

Hi everyone! I’m not American, so I’m genuinely curious about this and hoping to hear different perspectives.

In the U.S., there are people from many different racial and cultural backgrounds working in all kinds of jobs. When Americans see someone who is not the same race as them working in their workplace or community, how do they usually feel about it?

Do most people just see it as normal and not think much about it? Or do some people ever feel like those jobs should have gone to people from their own background?

I’m asking purely out of curiosity because the U.S. is known for being very diverse, and I’d love to understand how people actually feel about this in everyday life.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
