Letting agent being difficult after domestic abuse incident uk- England- essex

NSFWComments Moderated

My ex was arrested and remains on bail for non fatal strangulation of me and assault of my 18yr old son. Since October 25

This was after almost 7years together. Till this point he had never shouted or hurt me.

He had refused to leave in August when I ended the relationship due to him never finically contributing to the house hold and generally letting me down in every thing. I could go on but u get the gist

Joint tenants on property but never paid anything and refused to leave till he was arrested

After this I received a campaign of hate set to try and ruin me, I run a care home at this point.

He sent texts to landlord, my work and even my adult children and my ex husband i had no contact with since my divorce 3 years before.

He refused to come of tenancy and the letting agent refused to change locks, even when his family tried to enter with out permission

I reported the agent to PRS as they seemed to have no idea about the DA act

When he refused to come of tenancy, I only paid half rent till he did then come off(although not done correctly)

I had to have an inspection of the property, prove I was not on drugs and items in the home where no broken following my exs stating these lies.

PRS then got involved and things started to move forward.

They have closed to PRS now, however the agent is continuing to ask for the outstanding rent, he should have paid. The deed of surrender wasn’t signed by my ex till 20th Jan 26, but they have tried to back date to 8th Dec. To add to this my ex was paid £1300 to complete works he never did, and is meant to pay it back
