Incident Near Sunnynook Bus Station
Just wondering on the off chance if anyone might have any idea who may have done this, we had a witness but they didn't realise something wasn't right until later and had only come back afterwards.
About 6pm tonight just by the motorway over bridge Sunnynook side, my son was riding his bike and a middle aged man with a walking stick and having some difficulties walking (either disabled or drunk) pushed my son off his bike down a hill into bushes. My son had moved well clear of him as I've told him to do if on the footpath. The man was white, tall, had a grey tidy looking jacket and a walking stick (he used it to either push him or hit his bike). He ran off as fast as he could after doing it and apparently nearly got hit by a car himself running across at lights when he didn't have the cross signal, down towards the Woolworths.
WTF man, it's a kid ffs.
Yes, I know road is for bikes, but it's just not safe in some places (like said over bridge he was approaching).
He may have just come from the bus station or could be a known local, just asking as I'd love to have a chat with him. Has been reported to police.
