Harsh rushali shubhi had the same situation that y-a-r are having but with different outcomes

Like we somehow know that y and r had a thing before splits (whether they dated or not it's not confirmed so I'll take it as a situationship), now if they weren't committed so y entering splits wasn't a issue as ofcourse people out there with actually gfs/bfs outside still went on and did the show. Now harsh and shubhi kind of had the same dynamics. When the harsh shubhi love den date was shown, i actually thought he would choose shubhi, but he somehow flipped and did choose rushali. I think it was actually a clever decision (not saying right or wrong) cuz if he had chosen shubhi people would have questioned his commitments and that would have confirmed both his and shubhis relationship. Cuz if y had chosen a instead of r , what harsh had faced would have been the same with him. Like people would have sympathised with r and y -a would have faced the heat of audiences' criticism. Like people hated harsh for choosing rushali over shubhi and now they hate y for choosing r over a. Like I'm not commenting anything, but what would have been the ideal case scenario in this kind of situation?
