It has been a long time. I used to love playing this 1003. I got it brand new when it was first released and want to play again, but I need some advice on how to get the best experience these days. What would you do first to a stock PSP?

Firstly (and this was an issue not long after I got it new) the memory card slot has a problem. It will read, but only when positioned correctly. It doesn't spring, click in or eject. I have to slide it in, get it in just the correct position for it to read, and if it goes in too far, it will not read. Either way, I have to slide it out by applying pressure with my nail and pull it. I will tear it down soon and try and find the issue. Mechanism likely damaged? New memory card needed as this one is only 1GB. I have a 128gb micro, so I will get an adapter.

Secondly, I have seen online that I can upgrade the screen. Is this worth doing in most people's opinions?

Third, I only have 2 games (GTA and Worms) as I sold the rest of them years ago or they went walkies. I have looked at a few videos on YouTube of nodding, but I still feel like I know nothing. I want to play some games and that's basically all. I remember playing killzone and burnout, and enjoyed them then. If there are any guides to modding and then installing games, please let me know where to go. Emulators also, maybe?

I am not sure how great the battery is because I have only played a little in the last few days, but it seems to hold charge OK for now. I bought a new charger recently, as the original one was missing.

Thank you in advance for any advice on my nostalgia adventure.
