SLEEP QUALITY ISSUE FOR MONTHS

For the past several months, I have been experiencing significant daytime sleepiness despite sleeping approximately 7–8 hours at night. I often wake up feeling mentally tired, and during the afternoon hours I experience strong sleepiness that makes it difficult to perform cognitive tasks such as studying or retaining information. In many cases, I need to take a short nap in order to regain productivity.

I have also noticed a pattern related to the onset of these symptoms. In the past, the issue appeared to begin after an episode of late-night sleep disruption associated with masturbation or a nocturnal emission (wet dream). Since then, I have felt that my sleep quality has not returned to how it was previously.

Additionally, I frequently experience vivid dreams close to waking time and often wake up feeling unrefreshed.

At certain times in the past, the problem improved temporarily when I took sleep medication prescribed by a doctor. However, after some time the daytime sleepiness tends to recur again.

Because this issue has been affecting my concentration and academic performance, I would like to understand the possible underlying causes
