Why do people take everything personally?

Just played a match as blight. Went up against a swf. I nodded at one of the survivors after hooking and I hit the air towards an open window. I didn’t mean anything by it. I was just trying to be goofy. In end game chat, that person was like, “why are you being so extra. You hit the air and nodded at me” like bro is it really that deep? Is nodding and hitting the air that triggering?
