Why my monitor can’t do 144hz instead of 180hz ?

I got a 34” philips envia, max refresh rate is 180hz.

I setup in windows 144hz, but in every game its stull runs 180hz i can’t cap the fps at 144hz only in bortherless windowed mode, Its bad for me because my pc cant hold 180hz allways so i have micro lags.

I got an nvidia 3070 and i am using a dp port cable, with my previous AMD card i didnt had this problem.
