What starter to choose to give the best rival team?

I am going to start playing Legands Arceus and I would like to know which starter to choose to give my rival the best possible team.

I am asking because I don't want to look it up and get spoiled.

I don't care for which starter I pick as I will be boxing them as soon as I can.
