Favorite places to buy dahlia tubers + beginner advice? (Zone 6a) 🌸

Hello! I’m looking for places to buy dahlia tubers, ideally from someone or somewhere local to Chicago (I’m growing in Zone 6a). That said, I’d also love to hear some of your favorite websites or growers to order from!

This will be my first “official” year growing dahlias. In the past I grew one that I picked up at a local plant sale when I had a plot in a community garden, but now I’m a little hyper-fixated on starting a cut flower garden since I finally have more space at my new apartment.

Would love any general advice, favorite varieties, trusted sellers, or tips you wish you knew when you first started growing dahlias.

Thank you in advance! 🩷
