Is there anyway to enter a Japanese username into rivals?

So I play on ps5 and I was trying to change my name and put Japanese on it. I’ve been looking online and tried to do remote play and copy/paste it but just get “enter valid character” . I’ve seen other people with it so wondering if anyone could help out. Thanks :)
