Were flapper girls of the 1920s always short haired?

My school is doing old Hollywood for prom and I’m annoying so I’m looking to be historically accurate and chose the 1920s , my hair is kinda longer and I’m not sure if I should go for a different era as I’m not sure how they would style longer hair or if it was even popular then since the style of the time seems to be mainly short bob like hair. I also have a kinda noticeable side bang so idk if that would make it harder
