Why 90% of videos fail on social media (It’s not the content)

YouTube

I’ve noticed something after editing a lot of short-form videos.

Most videos don’t fail because the idea or content is bad. They fail because the editing doesn’t keep people watching.

Things like: Weak or slow hooks Long pauses or bad pacing No pattern interrupts No captions or visual movement People scroll fast. If the first 2–3 seconds don’t grab attention, the video is already dead.

A good idea with bad editing = low views. But even an average idea with great editing = high retention and better reach.

So if your videos aren’t performing, don’t just change the content.

Sometimes the real problem is how the video is edited.

And if you’re looking for someone to edit your videos and improve retention, feel free to DM me.
