Christians in countries where believers are a minority, how did you meet your partner?

Need Advice

I’ve been thinking about something and I would genuinely appreciate advice from other believers here.

I’m a Christian guy in my early 20s trying to live responsibly. I am focusing on my studies, building a good career, growing in faith, and trying to become the kind of man who could one day be a good husband.

But I honestly do not understand how Christian men are supposed to meet Christian women anymore, especially in places where Christians are a very small minority.

Most dating discussions I see online seem to assume a Western context where there are many churches, campus ministries, and Christian communities with lots of people your age. In those environments it seems relatively easier to meet other believers naturally.

But in more traditional countries things can feel very different.

In my case:

• Christians are a very small minority where I live
• My church does not have many people my age
• I do not go to bars or party environments
• My routine is mostly to go to work, take music lessons, go to church for service and bible studies, and go home to study and work on building a good career.

A lot of advice online also feels contradictory.

• Do not approach women you do not know because that is creepy
• Do not message women online because that is weird
• Do not talk with the intention of dating because that is manipulative
• But somehow you are still supposed to meet someone naturally

So I am genuinely curious.

For Christians who grew up in places where believers are a small minority, how did you actually meet your spouse or partner?

Was it through church, friends, ministry, online communities, or something else?

I would really appreciate hearing the experiences of people who have navigated a similar situation.
