Do people really think that the third season will no longer have Noah Wyle as the lead?

I mean as a practical issue. Yes there have been these Easter eggs of his death, but this is a TV show and it seems like Noah Wyle the person really loves what this show shows people about the field of emergency medicine.

I don't quite understand the why people are so convinced that this show would kill the person that draws many people to watch the show.

Please tell me I am being naive to prep me for his incoming death.
