Is an 38 mile commute too far?

Work/Life balance

So a bit more about the situation, I am looking to move from Colorado to Texas. My boyfriend’s family has a property out there the only issues are:

  1. My commute will be 38 miles (roughly an hour one way)

  2. I own a BMW 2 series that requires premium fuel (93 octane)

  3. I genuinely am already having trouble sleeping thinking about this commute.

Is this too far of a commute to make given my vehicle and time wise?

A few questions to answer:

“Can you sell the BMW?” Technically yes, but I left a job due to a harassment issue (I was the victim) so I don’t have the money to cover the negative equity.

“Can you move closer?” Again yes, the main benefit of the property is, I won’t need to pay a cent for rent or utilities.

“Can you work closer to the property?” No unless I want to work at a gas station or something like that (I’m going to shoot for a BMW dealership)
