Started Airbnb as a side hustle with 1 room. 2 years later it’s a ₹10L+ business and my full-time work :)

I started Airbnb as a side hustle while working a corporate job in Gurgaon.

On 14 March 2024, I listed one spare room in my house just to see if it works.

My first booking came after 18 days and I made ₹3,356. I still remember travelling back from Gurgaon just to check-in my first guests.

For a while I was juggling both, corporate job during weekdays and hosting guests on weekends.

Eventually bookings increased and managing both became difficult, so on 23 August 2024 I finally decided to quit my job and try this full time.

Fast forward to today:

• Multiple listings across different price points
• Small team helping with operations
• Crossed ₹10L+ last year
• Started a two-wheeler rental side hustle for guests as well
• Built and now fully own a 4BHK property used for hosting

Currently working on my next project, a small backpacker hostel.

Crazy to think it all started with one room and a ₹3,356 booking.
