Hot take(unless this is general consensus): Zero/ZX Legacy Collection’s controls layout & selection is ass.

I just tried the Zero controls layout in a Z chaser to get a small grasp on the game, and got met with the most confusing controls selection ever. Seriously, they make it so you can’t select the layout of controls, and you’re stuck with A being A and B being B. Why is the most natural way to play these games on Switch with an NES controller?? Heck, even my Mega Drive controller, as backwards as it may be, is more natural than the basic pro/joy on layout simply because the Y button isn’t being awkward and doing nothing.

Also am I the only person who double-taps a direction for dashing in the X series? Unrelated but I felt like asking.
