The reason you have nothing interesting to say isn't because you're boring, it's because you never practice talking out loud

Saw a post on here about having nothing to say in conversations and it resonated so hard. I used to feel the exact same way.

Here's what I figured out though. I had plenty of thoughts and opinions in my head. The problem was getting them out of my mouth in a way that actually sounded coherent. So I'd stay quiet because the risk of sounding stupid was worse than the risk of being invisible.

What actually fixed it was embarrassingly simple. I started spending 60 seconds a day answering a random question out loud. Not in my head, out loud. Literally just standing in my kitchen talking to nobody. It felt absurd but after a few weeks my brain got significantly faster at turning thoughts into sentences on the fly.

The thing nobody tells you is that "being interesting" in conversation is like 20% having good ideas and 80% being able to articulate them in real time. Most quiet people have the ideas, they just haven't trained the output.

I started posting drills and speaking tips in r/SpeakBetter if anyone wants a community for this stuff. But honestly even without any resources, just doing the 60 second drill daily will change how you show up in conversations within a month.
