Myrient links backup and global search

Hello everyone, I am glad to see that there is a lot of people working to save Myrient and hope we can keep their legacy alive, even if the site finally shuts down as announced.

Following suit, I would like to share a little script I made that allows to search the whole collection globally along with a backup of all the file links: Myrient-Search.

I was motivated to create this because, although Myrient is fairly fast and confortable to navigate, the per-folder search system greatly limits the ability to find new content if you don't know what folder to search.

So in order to tackle this problem, I decided to scrap all the links from the website and store them in a single database for easy browsing and at the same time make a backup of the files index.

I cannot promise that the backup is a 100% accurate but I am confident that it includes the majority of the links. Also, I'm aware that the search scrip is a little clumsy but I hope it helps some of you to find what you are looking for!
