Horrible experience at SeaTac today

COMPLAINT

Had the worst time of my life trying to get out of SeaTac with Alaska airlines today. I arrived at the airport at 9:30am for an 11:30am flight. Arrived, immediately got a notification that my flight was delayed to 12:50 pm. Okay, it's snowing, I get it.

Get through security and to my gate, sit down. Then comes a second delay, to 2-something in the afternoon.

Okay, I'm a little irritated at this point but hey, it's weather and this is life.

Then my flight gets cancelled altogether.

I go up to the gate agent and get told 'we can't help you with that, you need to go to customer service.' Okay.

Well, there are several hundred people in line. Guess I'll be here for awhile.

After 3 hours waiting in the customer service line, I was rebooked for an 8:15pm flight, to a different city that's over an hour from my house, but okay, i'll rent a car and drive home. It's still the same day, so okay. I'm tired but fine. I ask if I can get help with booking a hotel, just in case, and get told 'we can't help you with that here.' Okay.

8:15 comes and goes, and we're delayed, again, to 9:30 pm. Then 10:05. Then 10:25. I try to call customer service, just to see if they can give any support, but the wait time on the phone was seven (!!!) hours. Finally, a bus comes to take us to our plane.

We get off the bus, through the slush, and on the plane around 10:30 pm.

It's after midnight now, and we're still on the ground. The plane has had multiple electrical issues. Haven't even made it to be de-iced yet.

I'm frustrated with how the snow was handled here today. I might expect this in Atlanta or Miami, somewhere that never sees snow. But I was shocked to see things this poorly handled in Seattle.

I don't know what I expect to get out of this post, just frustrated and sorry for anyone else stuck here who is sharing in my misery.
