You launch a page, the design looks good, the content seems fine, yet the page still does not rank well in search results.

Most SEO tools are expensive, slow, or require sending your page data to external servers.

So I decided to build a **simple browser extension that performs an instant on page SEO audit directly in the browser**.

The extension is called **Namespace SEO Studio**.

Its goal is simple.
Click the extension icon on any page and get a **complete SEO audit in seconds**.

No accounts.
No subscriptions.
No external servers.
Everything runs **locally inside your browser**.

# What the Extension Analyzes

# Meta and SERP Optimization

The extension checks the most important metadata that search engines and social platforms read first.

* Title tag pixel width
* Meta description quality
* Canonical URL
* Robots directives
* Open Graph tags
* Twitter Card metadata

# Content and Semantic Structure

It analyzes the structure and quality of your page content.

* Word count
* Readability score
* Keyword density
* Heading hierarchy
* Semantic HTML structure
* Content depth

This helps identify thin content, keyword stuffing, and missing structural elements.

# Technical Health and Crawlability

Technical issues often prevent search engines from properly understanding a page.

The extension checks:

* HTTPS usage
* Mixed content issues
* Viewport configuration
* HTML language attributes
* Hreflang tags
* Structured data such as JSON LD
* Robots and sitemap signals
* DOM complexity

# Links and Page Structure

Internal linking plays a major role in SEO.

The extension audits:

* Internal vs external link ratio
* Anchor text quality
* Empty or generic anchor text
* Nofollow usage
* Malformed URLs

# Images and Accessibility

Images and accessibility signals are also analyzed.

Checks include:

* Missing alt text
* Lazy loading usage
* Image dimensions
* Inline base64 images
* Missing form labels
* Accessibility landmarks

# Performance Heuristics

The extension highlights structural patterns that may affect page performance.

It detects:

* Excessive DOM nodes
* Render blocking scripts
* Render blocking stylesheets
* Missing preconnect hints
* Heavy third party script usage

# Smart Scoring System

Each page receives a **score from 0 to 100** based on all detected signals.

Issues are categorized by severity:

* Critical
* High
* Medium
* Low

Every issue includes:

* Why the issue matters for SEO
* How it impacts ranking or crawling
* How to fix it
* A small code example when relevant

# Additional Features

The extension also includes tools that help visualize SEO issues quickly.

**SERP Preview**
See how your page would appear in Google search results.

**Heading Tree**
A visual map of your entire heading structure.

**Quick Wins**
Highlights the easiest improvements with the highest SEO impact.

**Scan History**
Compare results across multiple scans.

**PDF Export**
Download a complete branded SEO audit report.

# Who This Tool Is For

This extension is useful for:

* Web developers checking pages before launch
* Agencies auditing client websites
* SEO professionals who need quick on page analysis
* Bloggers and website owners trying to improve rankings

# Why I Built It

The goal was to create something **fast, private, and practical** instead of another heavy SEO platform.

Everything runs locally inside the browser.

That means:

* No tracking
* No data collection
* Instant results

If you are a developer, SEO specialist, or someone building websites, I would love to hear your feedback.
