just learned my neuro wasn't believing me this whole time

so I've been dealing with my neurologist mostly through his nurse and she passes info back and forth. I set up a camera in my bedroom a few weeks ago since most of my episodes happen when I'm sleeping and I wanted actual footage to show what's going on instead of just describing symptoms after the fact.

put together all the recent videos and sent them over to the nurse. she was all excited about how smart it was to record everything. then she drops this bomb on me.

"when I showed your doctor the videos, he finally understood how severe they really are. he said 'wow, I didn't realize they were this intense'"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? they're intense alright! I got rushed to the ER four different times when this all started, one of the doctors said I could've died, and I'm still having 4-7 seizures every month even though they're not quite as bad now.

what's wrong with some of these doctors? even if they think someone's making stuff up, shouldn't they err on the side of caution until they know for sure? just feels like such BS that I had to literally film myself having seizures to get taken seriously.
