Is it okay to upgrade to seltos dct/diesel at from ivt if the former is available at a heavy discount.
Hi, I'm going to be a first time car owner and I booked seltos htk(o) ivt last month for 16.95L on road under the MP govt ujjain mela scheme which offers 50% off on road tax. The dealer is now saying the delivery is not possible before the mela ends and giving options for same model in DCT or diesel AT. My usecase is mostly city driving and 1-3 highway trips in a year. If i continue to wait iVT the price will be revised to 17.75 after mela and I'm getting dct for 17.8 and diesel AT for 18.85 under the mela offer. I know driving but have no actual driving experience. I feel I should wait for iVT but would I be missing out if am getting dct turbo with the same price and diesel AT too at a great discount. The dealer was saying diesel if ran at high speed for 30-40km in a month or so will help in DPF regeneration even if at other times it is driven in city traffics but I am not convinced with this and also concerned about emission norms. For DCT, I feel driving experience won't be smooth and mileage & maintenance cost is additional.
