Can a old laptop with integrated and dedicated gpu beat a newer laptop with only integrated graphics in playing games?

Ive just realized that maybe my laptop can handle games is because it has two graphics. One is the integrated graphics from Intel and the other dedicated graphics from amd. Im wondering if I get a laptop with only integrated graphics Id basically get a downgrade on my performance.

The lenovo G50-80 (i7-5500U, 8gb ram) Intel HD Graphics 5500 AMD Radeon R5 M330 (2gb)

I plan on upgrading, but then its likely that itll only be integrated graphics. Not sure on what specs but its def gonna be newer.

Will it make a severe difference? Compared to a t480 or a t14 for example? Or am I wrong can yall inform me?
