Not much to say except I am dying from embarrassment and need reassurance that this is not the end of the world😭

Casually dated this guy from hinge for like 3 months before calling it off. He’s a great guy, we just didn’t match well, and I told him the main reason was my busy schedule even though really it was more like I didn’t feel the spark. Anyways, I told him I wouldn’t be dating any more and wasn’t in the space for a relationship.

Fast forward 3ish months, I’m bored and back on Hinge and I match with this guy who seems just my type, sweet and introspective and genuine. Then he messages me and essentially says, “I think we would get along too, but I know more about you than you think, I’m (ex’s) best friend so I don’t think we can meet.” Fair and mature response but also why bother matching to tell me that in the first place😭😭😭

I am so embarrassed because I feel he will definitely be communicating this back to my ex, who I’m sure will feel even more hurt. Also embarrassed because I have seen pictures of them together but the face just didn’t register here. Agh. Also why is the world so small.😭

Now I am rethinking all of my choices to get into Hinge “relationships” in the first place. Or relationships at all.

BOATLOAD OF SUSHI with the girls tonight:) - thanks for reading my midnight ramble.

Matched with my ex-Hinge date’s best friend.
