Defensive playstyle help

I played eafc25 on old gen and started eafc26 new gen about a month ago. Currently in div 1 with 10 wins being my highest in champs.

Not really seeing much of a difference between the defensive playstyles. I haven’t really had a vast amount of players to test from either.

My experience:

Petit has intercept+ but I don’t notice him intercepting much. Desailly has no intercept, but he intercepts a lot. I gave intercept+ and anticipate+ to oosterwolde and I really disliked the card. Felt like a truck when turning and would jog back. Anticipate and block is what my go to playstyles were in 25, but everyone online swears by intercept in 26. I feel like giving a cb quickstep+ is a waste. Never noticed a difference in 25 cbs with it. With how much people hype up intercept+ this year, I feel like I need to get it too?

So, my dilemma. I just packed Rudiger, am making a Havenaar evo (Japanese 6”7) and a van de ven evo (I know the hate).

Van de ven is going to be either intercept+ and quickstep+ or switch intercept with anticipate.

Havenaar I can do any combo.

Rudiger I can do any combo.

So, what should I do?
