Stop feeling sorry for dangerous celebrities bc of BOTS

It's the fact that a "controversial celebrity" [criminal] may have destroyed the livelihoods of someone/multiple people, have a pattern of avoiding accountability, and a large chunk of the population may converse about the person one-dimensionally, in favor of them. Things were never as simple as "celebrities have it worse". Be mindful that the things you discuss online could influence how they go about their PR activities. Some celebrities run with the "I'm also subjected to the world's evil" narrative for the rest of their careers and CONTINUE to do their damage behind the scenes. Now, with the increasing trend in AI tools for PR motivations, they flood comment sections with bots who offer counter arguments and narrative drivers that sound like REAL people, who get us to shift our focus from a pattern of poor taste / straight up evil activities. Frankly, it's DISGUSTING of the elite to utilize tech this way. We deserve a better use of those tools. Now, at the same time, real people share those opinions too who are equally capable of driving those narratives.

Here's where it gets complicated. Bots could be used for or against them, and the only way we can figure out who is worth supporting, is through their track record. If its bad, see it for what it is. I do think there's a solution and people won't like the answer, but get over yourself and learn to discern: HOLD MULTIPLE TRUTHS, REGARDLESS OF THE CELEBRITY'S IDENTITY, and know that it's not an invitation to be cruel, but to have awareness. Don't tell yourself that you should expect little from a public figure because of their circumstances. Not being a criminal is the BARE MINIMUM. You're not betraying any community by doing that, you're doing the world a favor. Do this with people who have a pattern of escaping accountability. Note that accountability and online scrutiny are NOT THE SAME. A public figure can experience cruelty online AND STILL BE DANGEROUS, and dealing with cruelty doesn't make them any less responsible for committing crimes. WORRY ABOUT THE PEOPLE THEY SCREWED OVER, BEFORE YOU WORRY ABOUT THEM. You may have a good heart but have limits and don't overlook crimes at the expense of victims. Your empathy is important, but think about the people who don't have their power. The people they've hurt are retraumatized when the public decides they're "over" having negative opinions of the person who ruined their lives and is evading consequences. They are the most vulnerable in this situation, not the ones with more power.
Reminder: Be HONEST, NOT CRUEL.
