how do people decide which gaming marketplaces to trust?

there are so many gaming related marketplaces now that it’s honestly hard to keep track.

some sell game keys, some deal with accounts, others focus on skins or digital items.

from the outside a lot of them look similar which makes it difficult to know which ones are reliable.

curious how people here usually decide before buying something online.

reviews? community reputation? something else?
