Parking tips for ACC Gymnastics Championship - Session 2 at First Horizon Coliseum (Greensboro 03/21)

yo if you are heading to the coliseum for the acc gymnastics finals on 03/21 just a heads up that parking is always a massive headache there since the lots are huge but the exits are tiny and get backed up forever.

before you deal with the main lots you should check out Prked first. you can basically rent someone's driveway or a private garage right by the venue for way cheaper than the official price. it is honestly the best way to skip that gridlock on gate city blvd because you can just walk a short distance and not be stuck in the parking lot line for an hour after the meet ends.

the official coliseum lot is usually at least twenty five dollars and they have been moving toward cashless lately so bring a card just in case. there are about six thousand spots but they fill up fast especially with session 2 because people from the earlier session might still be lingering around or leaving as you arrive. if you do use the main lot try to enter from high point road or ellison drive instead of gate city blvd to avoid the worst of the traffic.

another option is searching for spots near the nearby shopping centers like the ones across from the aquatic center but you have to be super careful because they definitely tow if they see you walking toward the coliseum. street parking in the glenyet or nearby residential areas is hit or miss because of the permit signs so keep a close eye on those or you will get a ticket. some people try to park at the uncg lots and walk but that is a solid twenty minute hike and might not be worth it if it is cold.

since it is a 7:00 pm start on a saturday night i would honestly try to get there by 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm at the latest if you want a decent spot in the main lot. the traffic patterns near the coliseum change right before the event and police usually start directing cars which can get confusing if you are not from around here. just watch out for the lane shifts on gate city blvd and stay alert. hope this helps you guys out.
