Additional rules: He can’t amp the abilities, but he’s able to upgrade them to his level, so it won’t matter the original level of the ability. If there’s a low tier ability that he wants, it’ll become a 7.6 in his hands and be scaled up accordingly. Same for it was a high tier ability. This means he won’t have to worry about spending a bunch of extra aura amping them. However, he can’t choose any abilities he hasn’t copied, they need to have been used by him before so he knows their aura, so no flash forward, minefield, or particles. He also can spend as much time mastering the abilities and can train with them, similar to how Isen took his ability from Hunter to Predator. He can also choose to combine them or upgrade however he wants, similar to what he did with the wind blades using Meli’s and Ventus’s abilities. He keeps his high aura reserves and passive of aura manipulation, but each ability still uses different amounts of reserves based on how much he’s mastered it. I made it so he can only carry 3 and that he can’t change them as “nerfs” since he can choose any 3 abilities and master them instead of keeping them temporarily, plus he can never get caught lacking. Having any 3 level 7.6 abilities is still OP and very versatile, so I think it evens out.

Imo, his perfect kit would be: 1 healing ability, 1 stat buff ability, and 1 ranged/defensive/versatile ability. Healing is way too necessary and him having it permanently means he can work out its kinks. I think John’s best healing ability shown is Heal Link, which let him fully heal himself and Blyke easily, plus can be done at range and continuously done without needing to divert as much attention to it or have get too close. I think a stat buff ability is needed too since John can take advantage of his skills using it, plus he can tank more attacks, hit harder, and move faster. Most people in Unordinary do have naturally higher stats, but without an ability that specifically amps it, it’s not much. Most are glass cannons that are susceptible to small needles, plus most can’t do much better than a highly trained athlete like John. The best for this imo is Phase Shift, since that lets John basically min max his stats. Most of the time, he’ll need increased attack and speed, but he can switch to defensive mode when he’s attacked. The last spot is a “flex” spot imo. It can be used for any ability to help in daily life, for combat, or both. Normally, I’d choose Particles for it, but John hasn’t gotten to copy it, so I think barrier would be best, especially with its damage reflection, changing shapes, being able to be used for offense by slamming into people or trapping them, and the defense passive to help John tank attacks. 

I want to get cracked by Vaughn. All in all, I think John’s best kit would be: Heal Link, Phase Shift, and Barrier.

If John could choose 3 abilities to have(loses the 4th slot) at all times and keep permanently(can’t be replaced), what would be his best combination(both for combat and otherwise)?
