Japan Trip Advice

Hey everyone, I’m planning a japan trip for the first time for a month or two sometime late november to maybe sometime in Jan. I’ve studied the language for 7 years so have an intermediate speaking, reading and writing proficiency as well. I’m 20 and will have just graduated university as well and also play sports like volleyball, tennis etc.

Is there any recommendations you have for things I could do, what I could plan, places to go and stay etc? I’d also like to be involved in maybe like sports clubs with other university students my age or anything else with japanese students my age. Would appreciate any advice. I’m also considering skiing in Hakuba and would like to note i’m more of a activity person than sightseeing but still like

both.

I know I can plan a lot of these things myself but would love suggestions to help especially with regards to be involved with uni students my age and sports clubs I can join etc.
