Some of you white knights need to cool it, you’re becoming Rats

I’ve had a few matches in the last couple of days full of sweaty, desperate white knights who are traveling around “looking for Rats,” but have in-turn started becoming Rats themselves.

In spaceport, two times yesterday, I happened upon two people fighting one another in solos, both exclaiming they were Rat Hunting and that the other was definitely a Rat. Their proof? “Other person was <insert completely innocuous behavior here>, which meant they were Ratting because it was ‘sus’.”

Then today, several time on Dam, same thing. Solos fighting claiming the other “crouched behind the cars for too long, which meant they were waiting for someone to jump” or “aiming their gun in the direction of other players (this one was hilarious, because it was a Night Raid near Domes and completely swarming with Arc)”

Then this evening, I was on Spaceport during the Harvester event, but I was not there for that event. I was actually there doing the Trader Quest that has you look for signs of the engineer at the electrical substation. Finished the quest and headed out, realizing the most direct path to my next destination cut right through the Queen/Harvester. So, I crouched next to a bus, opened my map and tried to plot a course to where I was headed, going around but thinking of other stops to make on the way.

Next thing I know, I’m shot. I dive roll out of the way, but got shot through a bus because Embark’s servers are amazing and desync never happens (it did). Anyway, I died, and the person runs up to me “nice try you Rat. Sneaking around cars trying to pick off other players…”

Bro, what? I explained what happened, then he apologized profusely and ran away. Some of yall need to cool it with this “I hunt rats” crap because you’re starting to invent these ‘telltale signs’ that somehow indicate someone is a Rat with your twisted logic, which in turn is actually making you the Rat. You’re the one hunting other players for no reason and looking for excuses to kill.

“Die the hero or live long enough to blah blah blah” you get it.
