I’m trying to find records for my ancestors from Malate and Sampaloc, Manila

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to find records for my ancestors from Malate and Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. As far as I can tell, Malate doesn’t seem to have any records on FamilySearch, and for Sampaloc, I found one church, but it only covers the 1930s–1940s.

I would really appreciate any guidance on:

• Other possible sources for records from these areas
• Whether there are FamilySearch collections I might have missed
• Tips for searching Manila parish records effectively
