My strict dad stopped checking my phone and now I’m confused

When I was in high school, my dad was really strict about phones. In 10th grade he used to say he would never allow me to have one. I actually ended up getting my first phone because my grandfather gave it to me when my dad was out of the country.

Whenever my dad came back to Pakistan, he would check my phone. Even when I started MBBS, like in first year, he still used to check it sometimes.

But now I’m in 4th year MBBS and something changed. He doesn’t check it anymore at all.

What’s even more noticeable is that when he sits next to me, he actively avoids looking at my phone. I’ve noticed his eyes ..they never go toward my screen anymore. It almost feels intentional.

He used to be really strict about girls having phones, so this sudden shift is confusing to me.

I keep wondering what changed.

Did he just start trusting me more? Or is it something else?
