explanations for the lingering shots here

im sorry i just don’t see mbj getting it here, that movie is not a performance film. ofc it is the most nominated film ever at the oscars but if it picks up an acting prize i think it’s wumni. we all predicted timmy all year im not gonna stop now just bc he lost bafta to someone not here and sag zagged

i don’t think penn will win here after how much he’s shown he outright dislikes the oscars. maybe that won’t matter idk but he has a certain reputation that the other four don’t. stellan seems likely here but I wouldn’t count out elordi, age is the only thing rlly working against him here

the first act of obaa is entirely taylor and while the only performance I rlly like here is fanning taylor is the showiest

I think sentimental is almost gonna be a banshees situation. goes home empty handed or just w the stellan trophy. most of the reasons I see people predicting it over secret agent is bc sv got into directing but sv hasn’t rlly been performing well or campaigning much at all. versus secret agent has been everywhere and actually is a timely story. prob the race im most excited to see the results of as I think all five are to varying degrees good movies and I think everything besides sirat has a chance to win

train dreams and sinners both are more showy in their cinematography, train dreams just makes sense as a lone cinematography winner and obaa doesn’t need that win to lock up bp

final oscar predix for this year !
