I will never forget this moment

Perhaps many years from now, I will no longer remember the name of this game.

Servers will shut down.

Accounts will disappear.
Maps that once felt so vast will quietly vanish into archived data.
But I believe I will still remember this moment.

Today, our former leader, 2kkhpqe, left the game.

In this world, resources cannot simply be transferred.

They must be taken through attack.

So before leaving, he asked for only one thing:
Take them.

He gathered everyone’s bases into an empty field.
One by one, war machines rolled into position, forming a wide circle.
At the center of that circle stood his base.

No one spoke much.
It felt strangely ceremonial, as if everyone understood that this was not an ordinary battle.

Then came the signal.
And the cannons fired.

On the screen it was only a brief flash of light and sound,
but in that moment the explosions carried a weight that felt almost solemn.

It did not feel like war.
It felt like farewell.

Soon his base was destroyed.

The game’s protection system scattered it to another random location on the map.

But moments later, he returned.

Teleport.

Back to the same place.

And once again, we formed the circle.
Once again, the cannons spoke.

Round after round.
Again and again.

Resources fell. Numbers changed. Loot was taken.

Yet gradually it became clear that what we were receiving was not truly the resources.

In the real world, we come from different places
different languages, different cultures, different lives.

And yet on this small virtual map,
a group of strangers gathered on the same night,
forming a circle around one base.
Firing together.

Only then did I realize something strange about games.

Their greatest power has never been victory.

It is that, for a brief period of time,
they allow strangers to walk the same road.

That road may not be long.

But when it ends,
you suddenly realize that you were truly there.

So in the end, 2kkhpqe did not really leave us resources.
Resources will be spent.
Buildings will be upgraded and replaced.

What he left behind was a memory.
And this moment will not happen again.

Years from now, when every piece of data from this game is gone,
someone might still remember

that on one quiet night,

someone left—

and a circle of players
fired their cannons
to send him on his way.

Wherever 2kkhpqe goes next in life,
may a new chapter await him.

And the rest of us, still somewhere on this map,
will continue fighting.

Though sometimes, perhaps,

we will remember the night
when one player gave away an entire base,

and in return

left us something that cannot be looted,
cannot be spent,
and cannot be erased.
