What books should I read to prep for next years adapted race?

Currently what I’m predicting for the adapted 5 is

if i go will they miss me

cry to heaven

all of a sudden

the odyssey

the adventures of cliff booth

of those two are based on a short or a movie and the other is the odyssey. I’ll prob try to read cry to heaven and I don’t think the book all of a sudden is based on has been released

other ones in contention as far as im thinking are

death of a salesman (read it)

a long winter

1949

ink (a play)

dog stars isn’t gonna be nominated

what else that’s based on book is worth reading to prep
